Elizabeth Knighton

AKA "Dr. Beth" - Dr. Knighton received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. She completed a Pediatric Optometry residency at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she was trained in pediatric eye disease and working with patients who have special needs. She joined the faculty at University of Houston College of Optometry and enjoyed working with students and residents in the pediatric clinics. While in Houston, Dr. Knighton treated patients at The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR), a rehabilitation hospital for patients with severe brain injuries. In 2012, Dr. Knighton earned her fellowship of the American Academy of Optometry. Starting in 2022, Dr. Beth expanded her knowledge base by training directly under Dr. Debby Feinberg at the NeuroVisual Medicine Institute. This extensive training allows Dr. Beth to resolve complicated visual issues causing dizziness, headaches and anxiety. Dr. Knighton is passionate about helping patients with binocular vision dysfunction, brain injuries and special needs. 
 

Dr. Knighton grew up in Clearwater and currently lives in Tampa with her husband and two children. She enjoys spending time outside with her family, DIY home projects, board games and anything about whale sharks.
