Dr. Z graduated from the University of South Florida with a 4.0 GPA, earning a B.A. in Chemistry and a Minor in Biomedical Physics. He then started optometry school at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, where he graduated #1 in his class and obtained the highest National Board scores in Florida. Dr Z completed a residency at the Orlando VA Medical Center, where he gained incredible experience in managing ocular diseases. In addition, Dr Z is an instructor for KMK Educational Services, a company that helps future generations of eye doctors pass their National Board exams. Representing the company, Dr Z provides private group tutoring, and occasionally flies out to optometry schools on weekends for review lectures.
Dr Z enjoys many aspects of optometry, some of them being cataract surgery co-management, contact lens fittings -including multifocals, Misight, and scleral lenses-, glaucoma management, and binocular vision. In his free time, Dr Z loves to play soccer, go rock climbing, and travel.
