  1. Lauren C. says:

My favorite holiday memory is SNOW sledding down hills in Massachusetts for hours with my brother and our friends, followed up by several cups of hot cocoa.

  2. Steven Chappell says:

The first with my son, who was just 3 months old when we bundled him up and drove 800 miles from Missouri to Alabama to introduce him to his relatives. The vivid part of that memory was the drive back, when a blizzard trapped us in a hotel for 2 days, and we arrived home to find the snowplow had piled nearly 12 feet of snow and ice in front of our driveway, so we had to climb a mountain of snow and slide our son in his car carrier down the mountain to get in the house.

Congrats to Steven for winning day #1!

    Now on to day #2:

What what is your favorite holiday song?

  4. Allie says:

Not to be super traditional, but I *love* O Holy Night. It’s a must for my holiday playlist.

Second would be this weird off B-side called “Christmastime” by the Smashing Pumpkins.

  5. Lauren C. says:

Favorite (traditional) holiday song: “Silent Night.” Reason: When the holiday season gets hectic with traveling, shopping,
etc. this song is a reminder on what Christmas is all about.  Favorite pop music holiday song: “Last Christmas” by George Michael.  Reason: It’s pure, 80’s-holiday awesome.

  6. Anonymous says:

Congrats to Loren who won day #2 with “Silent Night” This is the song I hum to my kids to get them sleep year-round.

Now the new Question of the day: What do you serve for your holiday feast?

  7. Allie says:

This year we are hosting & making a standing rib roast 😉

  8. Bruno5k says:

The Holiday Feast at my house always centers around the ham. Soaked overnight in apple cider, then baked with my own brown sugar, cinnamon, & apple butter glaze. Cheesy, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans sauteed slightly with onions & bacon, and to finish it off, my Gingerbread Pumpkin Trifle. I like this better than Thanksgiving.

  9. Thomas Smith says:

Turkey, potatoes, green bean casserole, and lots of pies.  Everything else may be different from year to year, but those are the staples.

  10. Lauren C. says:

Yay! Do I just stop into the store to pick up my prize? Maybe when I’m there I shoudl make an appt, it has been awhile since my last eye exam!

  11. Jackie Doeden says:

We have an articial tree, 7 ft tall.  It’s skinny but once decorated and wrapped in garland it looks prertty good.
