On Saturday, we will celebrate my grandfather's 90th birthday. He is one of the most amazing people I know. Although he doesn't talk about it much, he flew a P-47 Thunderbolt in World War II in Europe, similar to the photo above. To this day he still gets together with the brave men he flew with to talk and share stories.
But first, today we celebrate and honor my grandfather as well as all veterans, young and old. With gratitude and appreciation to those who have served and continue to serve our country, Happy Veterans Day.
